The GKO Tshogkhor, an annual spiritual event organized by Guru Khyentse Rinpoche and his disciples, is currently underway from July 28th to August 4th, 2025. This year, the revered gathering is taking place at Densa Chenmo, Lubding, Lungtenphu, Thimphu.
Presided over by H.E. Ugyen Jurmed Tenzin Rimpoche and H.E. Guru Khyentse Ozer (GKO) Rimpoche, the Tshogkhor is joined by the participation of venerable Lamas, Trulkus, Khenpos, Tshampas, Monks, and GKO Choedros.
The heart of the Tshogkhor lies in its extensive offerings, including:
- 100,000 butter lamps (marmey bum)
- 100,000 flower offerings (metog bum)
- 100,000 feast offerings (tshog bum)
- 100,000 prayer flags (dhar bum)
- And the distribution of 100,000 sweets.
The first day of the Tshogkhor commenced with profound practices:

- And The Treasury of Blessings A Practice of Buddha Śākyamuni ~ Mipham Rinpoche (ཐུབ་ཆོག་བྱིན་རླབས་གཏེར་མཛོད། མི་ཕམ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ།)
This significant annual event is dedicated to the long life of His Majesty the King, the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma, the longevity of genuine masters, the well-being of all sentient beings, and global peace.
